When I started the Offroad Junkies website back in 2010 it took up the majority of my computer time. When I had some spare time the last thing I wanted to do was maintain another website, hence the lack of updates in the past two years on SRR. But now I'm back! The past week and a half has been pretty crazy. Not only because I've been pretty busy but I waded myself up on the dirt bike when I went out riding with the guys over at FTI Racing. I tried to jump a creek, failing miserably, and ended up breaking my collarbone.That little mishap happened on April 3rd.
Later on the following week I went to visit a orthopedic doctor and found out I would need surgery for the bone to heal correctly. They wanted to do the surgery as soon as possible as it would get more difficult as the bone healed. We opted to have the surgery this past Monday as I had obligations...

Last August Charkie Huegel, Jared Bolton, and myself thought it would be a cool idea to film some off-road motocross riders and put together a DVD. Even though I should have known better, we thought we would organize a ride day in Oil City, PA with a few guys and we would have enough footage. I can't exactly tell you what I was puffing on but that wasn't the case. We made it around the wooded area of Venus, PA for about 8 hours and ended up with about 40 minutes of footage, edited down about 5 minutes. We still needed about 40-45 minutes worth of footage for a good off-road DVD.

This past weekend I headed down to Social Circle, GA to shoot video of the 8 hour team race that was being held down there. I rode down with Charkie Huegel and Mark Fortner who were going to be racing in the pro class, as Team Goon Hammer.
The race itself had some awesome obstacles you don't see very often. Besides the cold weather, I had a great time.

Last Summer I got the chance to look over my friend Victor's shoulder while he filmed his first music video. The video was for a local Austin band, The Boxing Lesson. He was doing the entire video in stop motion. Being the huge fan of stop motion that I am, I couldn't pass up the invite to watch and help out if needed. It was an awesome experience to see this bad ass at work.
He showed me a 17 second teaser clip in August and I was blown away. I couldn't wait to see the whole thing. Well the video has been done for a few months now and I find myself watching it quite often. Check out the video...
